Opened in 1913 as the 1,500-seat Victoria Theatre, presenting German language plays, it was renamed Fox-Liberty Theatre and then Sun Theater as it evolved throughout the years. Through thoughtful design and planning, historic spaces and details were renovated to create a fully functioning 800 seat theater by closing off the rear orchestra and rear balcony seating areas which have been converted into classrooms for the neighboring school. Plaster moldings in the main theater and entryway were restored and the colorful finishes were infused throughout the space.
